Learn, Study & Practice Yoga with Rachel
Yoga has clearly been a game changer for me. My physical body has changed shape, my emotional state doesn’t fluctuate the way it did in my twenties, my mental capacity is focused and my spiritual connection is stronger than ever. Traditionally yoga means “to yoke”, “to join”. While yoga is known to help us get stronger, more flexible and reduce stress and overwhelm, it can be a catalyst for many life changes. It’s also known as a path of evolution where we shift and change our physical bodies into shapes and forms that open us up to a deeper experience in other areas of our lives.
I joke that the reason we come to yoga isn’t usually why we stay.
I taught my first yoga class in 2001 and in 2006 took over the direction and ownership of Prescott Yoga, an Anusara®yoga Studio in Arizona until 2012. I was Certified in Anusara Yoga in 2007 and am a Registered eRYT500 Yoga Instructor through the Yoga Alliance with thousands of hours of asana, meditation, and therapeutic yoga training. People say my yoga classes are fun, full of instruction, and while being challenging are inspiring for all level of students. I’m inspired by nature’s rhythms and the gratitude I have for this body.

I continue to study with Senior teachers of many methods including asana with Christina Sell, meditation with Paul Muller-Ortega and Ayurveda and yoga health coaching with Cate Stillman.

A private yoga session with Rachel is an invitation to creatively and jointly address your physical, mental/emotional and spiritual needs with yoga, meditation and ayurvedic living in a one-on-one setting. Here are a few things we might do in a private session:
- Have a conversation about your health, daily habits and how yoga and meditation could be more readily applied to your current life.
- Create an individualized approach to the practice of yoga postures with written or video sequence provided as a resource.
- Create an individualized approach to the practice of meditation.
- Identify areas that might assist you in deepening your yoga practice and taking it to the next level.
- Work on therapeutic approaches to overcome a specific injury.
Private sessions can be arranged for one person, a couple, small group or organizational/corporate group. I am also available via Skype from anywhere in the world!
