Move the way love makes you move.

I’ve had a number of people reach out to me this week to ask for advice and tips about stress, anxiety and overwhelm. These are not new life experiences in our fast-paced and modern world, but this week it hit hard for a number of people, including myself. Through all of life’s transitions there is potential to get sucked into the darkness and fear of the unknown.

The pull towards love, connection and unity is strong. I’m interested in clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, wild places to romp, the importance of biodiversity and for our future generations to grow up with religious freedoms, to fall in love freely and have access to healthcare and education.

This is what I desire most for our children and our children’s children.

Through all of life’s transitions there is fear of the unknown.  Energy is on a continuum. There is a pulsation to everything. It’s easy to get pulled towards uncertainty and fear, which is one extreme energetic pull. It’s important to recognize that on the opposite side of the energetic spectrum is potential and possibility. This is nature. It pulses and moves from constriction to expansion and back again. Notice it even in your breath. I didn’t make this up. This is not me wearing rose colored glasses. The energy on this spectrum is always moving and so are you. It’s likely you’ve moved along this spectrum dynamically over the past week. It’s natural.

Uncertainty/Fear————————————–Possibility/Potential

If we were all to place an on the spectrum above, based on where we currently are feeling about the state of the world, we would ALL be in different spots for one reason or another. Honor where you are and know it will shift.

A few suggestions I shared this week and am practicing myself:

  1. Practice – Go DO whatever it is that leads you into the deepest expression of yourself. That place where you feel the ultimate connection.  If that’s meditation, meditate. If that’s yoga, roll out your mat. If that’s on your mountain bike, get out there. Whatever your practice, dig in like never before. Strongly consider doing it on your own, without distraction and feel.
  2. Connect – Reach out and connect with those you love and tap into your community and feel into the support that exists. Surround yourself with good company. People who inspire. Friends who activate.
  3. Seek a Vista – Go to your favorite spot to watch the sunset or sunrise. Find a place where you can set your eyes into the distance beyond your newsfeed. This is an amazing practice to simply get out of the details and look beyond your nose. Simply sit and look out as far as you can. Watch the energy shift more towards potential on the spectrum above.
  4. MOVE the way love moves. Talk the way love talks.

Don’t move the way fear makes you move.

Move the way love makes you move.

Move the way joy makes you move.
