One of the myriad benefits of studying yoga, mindset, lifestyle, and Ayurveda over the past two decades has been the skills practiced and cultivated to navigate life’s ups and downs, ins and outs, obstacles, resistance, and the unknown without losing myself.

I used to lose myself in the overwhelm of making big decisions, or when things didn’t maybe go my way.

The skills and tools from the integration of daily habits, conscious living, and mindfulness have laid the foundation to walk through versus around a challenge, navigate the unexpected, and still be anchored to who I am.

The power of reflection, insight, and clarity are the silver linings for me right now.

More than ever I feel the cause and effect of a decade of meditation, evolution, and transformation. Don’t get me wrong it’s not all rainbows and unicorns over here, it’s the good work of self-discovery and the application and planting of seeds for the future.

In the Bhagavad Gita, there is a section where Krishna is talking to Arjuna and reminds him “no effort on the path is ever wasted.” (I put quotes around that, not because I’ve quoted it from a specific translation, merely to emphasize my own translation of this powerful teaching).

Every day I acknowledge the gratitude I have for this path and the efforts applied to life and living in service to helping others find a new sense of themselves through embodiment and inner peace and ease. It seems as though I’m more grateful than ever.

What are you grateful for?
